Diplodus Puntazzo, (Cetti 1777)

It is also called "chiona" , "puntazzo puntazzo" or "sarago pizzuto". It looks like a White Bream with a nose and Its body is flat and pressed on the sides. These fish are considered to have very tasty meat and are generally appreciated.

The sharpsnout sea bream is a lean fish, which makes it very easy to digest. We recommend poaching, steaming or cooking in parchment to preserve the low fat in the fish.
